Search:

at google.com/linux and the entire first page of hits is on target.  
I'll post experiences if I get back to this in a couple of weeks.

The sled I mentioned is like a plastic half-sleeve with a PC card slot 
and a battery.  It even fits in a conventional cradle and will allow 
both batteries to charge up - unless they're mine and dead as door 
nails.  I used a regular Orinoco pcmcia wi-fi card for the results I 
cited.  No other wireless protocol on this old 3850.
