We see this all the time with laptops. Generally, I suggest people to
purchase a docking station for the laptop and charge the laptop via the
docking station as it can get into some real money labor wise  to tear
apart the laptop and do some soldering, of which is no guarantee that it
won't happen again eventually. With laptops as inexpensive as they are
today, they become throw aways when the display cracks, etc..
