[nflug] sabayon linux and xgl desktop

Hi all,

Any one interested in having a glimpse of some impressive eye candy
first hand. I suggest taking a look at sabayon linux. It is a gentoo
based dist ( I dowloaded the live cd ). It comes preconfigured with
the new xgl desktop. While not a "productive"  improvement, it is a
VERY cool demonstration of X, XGL etc. Neat composite affects rotating
desktops. as you wrap windows to the edge of the monitor it "flips"
over to the next desktop. windows emerge from the distance and fade
back as you open them. Windows also "wobble" if you grab them and move
them. Good linux "demonstration" disc. Just neat to check out. May
only work on Nvidia and some ati based systems though. If you've got
one of those take a peek.
