[nflug] Getting DSL to work - really need some help

Hi. I'm still trying to get my Verizon DSL to work on Linux.

I configured the modem and service in Windoze and it works fine there.
So hardware, etc. is not a problem.

*** After all of the below, etc., I still can't get FF to go to
192.168.1.1 (where the modem/router lives). This is probably the most
important symptom.

I finally got my Mandrake 9.1 RC2 install disks here and went in to the
Mandrake control center (MCC) and told it to use "network" to access the
Internet.
That seemed to run OK, but Firefox (FF) can't find server.

My eth0 is somewhat alive. The E1 light on the modem is lit - meaning
it sees an ethernet connection of some sort.

I went back into MCC and also selected ADSL (didn't turn network off).
FF still can't get to server.
I can still use my old ISP - dialup with kppp - FF gets to the Internet
with it.

I went into /etc/httpd/log and found some dhcp error logs. The most
recent is below.

There must be something that still needs to be configured.

Below, I included anything I think might be relevant.

Any ideas?

Joe
