[nflug] cisco question 3825 router

Sorry didn't even look your address scheme.... That is not the proper network for that mask. Which subnetwork do you want to route for ? 

Also do a sh run and make sure you have ip subnet-zero running, if not just simply add it with

ip subnet-zero

You could do

ip route 10.40.0.0 255.255.0.0 10.0.1.1 for example

If you want to use the 10.40.40.0 you would do 

ip route 10.40.40.0 255.255.255.0 10.0.1.1
