I just finished setting up a system where there is a single Fedora
machine that runs as a XDMCP server and then have a cygwin install
that has x installed.  Then I have cygwin set up to remotely log in to
the Fedora machine.  It creates a completely new session/login so if
you're looking at taking over an extisting screen you're out of luck.

It's actually relatively easy to get set up.
