I've been working on Canon color copiers for over 5 years now - those yellow
dots are on every page that ever came out of one. You don't need anything
more than a magnifier to see them (they often cause issues with printers
with sharp eyes - seems they all don't know about the anti-counterfeiting
measures). Also certain shades of color consistently used on
money/certificates will either not reproduce correctly or cause the copier
to print out a solid color page rather than a copy.

This is all hard coded into the electronics on the boards of the machines -
not in the drivers at all.

This has been required of all color copier manufacturers since they first
came out - nothing new here boys and girls. Just newly discovered by some.
