You've already been flamed for using Gimp for IM, so I will not do it too... ;)

AIM can listen to port 53 for AIM traffic, so if your firewall allows DNS
lookups outside of your organization, you could *blend in* with DNS traffic.

I have done it in the past with Trillian - no reason why it would not work on
Gaim.
