More stuff about linux and setting proper domain name

curious, are you using kde? Just because if you were using gnome, it 
would bitch when you logged into an x session if your host name is not 
right. Edit your /etc/hosts file and make sure your hostname is listed 
under your internal address 127.0.0.1. (case sensitive)
