I have dsl w/ no voice. Ya just have to get past the
1st line of defense there. Confuse them w/ some
acromyns and jargon and they'll get you to someone who
might have a clue. Don't use vonage, you get a locked
adapter. Use a provider that supports byo(dev) then
you can switch if unhappy. Broadvoice has some good
plans. They send you a normal adapter and charge you
for it if you don't return it upon cancellation. But
that's ok, because you'd probably spend more on it if
you bought it yourself. They support 
Line Number Portability so you can keep your number.
