PS/2 ---> USB Keyboard Mouse Problems

I am running 2.6.5-7.108 - I have another question though. I know with
a imps/2 mouse I had to add a line to the config inorder to get the
wheel on the mouse to scroll. Do I have to do the same for the USB
mouse (because it doesnt work)? If so instead of imps/2 what protocol
should i use?

Thanks for the help guys!
-Frank
