Then you should see if the HBCI part of GnuCash will do what you want 
and if it will play with your bank. I pay all my credit cards and cell 
phone online but not all my bills. I have a folder in my bookmarks of 
all the sites that I need to go to do this and then just go to there 
sites to make a payment. It's funny to watch the evolution of online 
payments, etc.. Capital One for instance has a very nice interface and 
works well with fast posting times, etc.., Household bank is the worst 
I've seen, they take 3 days to process a payment and use an outside 
source to process it! This may be true of Capital One too but it's 
transparent to the user and posts the next day (if done before 3pm) even 
if it actually takes longer.
