i have mozilla setup to use an ldap for address lookups, but i've never
tried replicating the db locally. what is this mozilla schema that
you've mentioned? you should need any special schema other then what
comes with openldap, i believe the misc.schema handles email address.

you don't need the replica stuff in slapd.conf. thats for replicating
your ldap db, or parts of it to another ldap server. it's like the nis
master and slave relationship.

i've not been able to successfully replicate the db myself, i have
accounts setup in my ldap server for web authentication so i'm using one
of those accounts. you've gotten me interested in getting this working,
i'll keep you updated.
