gaim and downloader for x

I fixed the downloader for X by forcing a downgrade so the downloader
lockup problem wasn't related to the GAIM problem. The Gaim problem I
may have fixed but I haven't tested it out yet. I got a new screen name
and password. AOL may have had a block of some sort on my old screen
name? I was reading that AOL doesn't specifically target users of non
AOL IM users but they have done it on occasion? So I figured I would try
a new screen name and see if that does the trick.

I have a new question if anyone wants to take a stab at it.
I added a bunch of True Type Fonts and ran ttmkfdir and chkfontpath then
did an xfs restart. Everything went without a hitch but the only thing
the new fonts show up in is Open Office. I was hoping they would be
system wide as well as for Kword and Abiword. Is there a way to make
them usable system wide? I moved my new font folder to the top of the
list in /etc/X11/fs/config so they would override the old fonts.
Any thoughts?
Thanks in advance,
jb
