cmedia sound cm8738

I ve been playing around with Fedora 2 on an ESC
p6vap-a+ mobo and noticed when I try anything with
sound there isnt any. Fedora reconizes the card  but
no sound. Even sound server is enabled. When I do a
dmesg the on board sound card dosent show. I know tyhe
sound works with Redhat 9.0 and the 2.4 kernel. But
ive noticed with the 2.6 kernel the onboard cmedia
cm8738 dosent work. I enabled PnP in the bios that
didnt work. The module is snd-cmipci. I am using Alsa
too. Any ideas?
