realplayer 8/9 codecs plugin

I am using the new Ximain desktop. I installed reaplayer 8 with no problem. I follwed the instructions for RP 9 but cant get it to install and play test media on the Realplayer page. Anyone have any good instrucions to getting this to work? Seems to be a need for better emphasis on getting plugins to work with Mozilla and other Linux browsers. Ximain does come with mplayer already loaded and the plugin is easy to install. Thanks
