Unable to mount cdrom

I'll answer '?' #2 first since it's easier. /dev/cdrom,cdrom1,cdrom2 are
nothing more than symlinks to the actual device in /dev. # ls -l
/dev/cdrom will show you where the sym link is actually pointing to. To
have your second drive point to /dev/cdrom2, just rename the symlink.

As per question 1.... a few things strike me odd.

1) you say that you have 2 cd-rom drives in your system, yet your fstab
file only reflects one.

2) if you have a cd-burner in your system, it either has to be scsi, or
scsi emulated in order to burn. I'd check your boot params via lilo.conf,
or grub.conf. If you do disc2disc copying, then your cdrom will also have
to either be scsi, or require the scs-ide module in order to work with
your burner.

I'm guessing this is a scsi-ide module thing.... especially since your
boot line in lilo.conf/grub.conf won't include the additional params
unless you actually added them after your kernel rebuild.
