CPU/MB problem? Which one?

bending pins on cpu's is NOT a good thing and I would look at that as 
the source of your troubles. I have a couple older socket "A" cpu's 
around here if that board can handle in the range of AMD XP1700+, 
currently the slowest I have in stock.
