redhat failure

I have an old Gateway P/166... I can't get it to even recognize the RH8
CD's I downloaded and burned. Yet, it recognizes the RH 7.3 disks I
have. That 166 is now my home file server running RH 7.3...

I believe my problem is the motherboard used, the IDE controller/BIOS/or
some other factor may not properly recognize the boot sectors of my RH 8
cd's. You may want to see if you have the same problems with RH 7.3.

Wish I could help tho.
