REMINDER: Free Intro to PHP Programming Workshop at UB

The Niagara Frontier Linux Users Group in conjunction with the DCC
Open Source Unix Group is offering a free introductory PHP programming
workshop on Sunday August 3rd from 1:00pm to 3:00pm in 120 Clemens
Hall on the UB North Campus.  A question/answer period will follow.

The workshop is open to the public and will be taught by Mark Musone,
co-founder of Shatter I.T., a managed service provider in Western New
York and Southern Ontario.

Mark received a BS Degree In Electrical Engineering and Computer
Science from UB.  He has been instrumental in UNIX-based high
reliability solutions since 1985.  He helped bring Linux to the
Western New York Region by creating the Buffalo Linux User Group and
is known for introducing and leading the way for PHP as a viable web
programming language.

Musone was also on the original development team for the Web
programming language, PHP. Using PHP, he designed and scripted the
Web-based e-mail application that served as the foundation for Chek,
where he was Chief Technology Officer and Executive Vice President.

Co-author of Professional PHP, Musone is considered a pioneer in
open-source calendaring applications (MCAL); he is active in Linux
groups, Internet messaging protocols and software groups.
