Maildir

cyrus supports folder -> subfolder -> subfolder -> ... as well as shared 
folders, bulletin boards, NNTP, ACL's on all folders. sorry if it seems 
that i'm cyrus happy, i just don't feel that there is anything that can 
touch it.

this is a script that i used to convert from mbox to cyrus, it's 
specific to cyrus but i'm sure that you could modify to meet you needs. 
the only issue is that all message where marked as unread. i found this 
somewhere on the net or for the orielly imap book.
