RPM ??'s

I agree.  The RPM will install as it is defined in the spec file that is 
created by whom ever compiles the rpm.

To change it, grab the src.rpm and modify the spec file, rebuild and create 
the binary.  It should install where you want it to.

That, of course is the very brief, get my $.02 into the discussion response, 
but I'm sure you get idea.

As an aside, going through the src.rpm spec file is like a journey unto itself 
if you read some of the comments about version changes and so forth.  Some of 
the files are not a pretty sight.
