Mplayer is a very good Movie Plyer too but the initial compilation can scare
people...

Xine is one I actually use the most.  There are precompiled RPMs for Mandrake
at plf.zarb.org  (Penguin Liberation Front) Check it out many packages that
cant be distributed due to license patent etc are there...
