Ahh, found one for ya.. Glimmer

http://glimmer.sourceforge.net/

Looks like it does everything you need, unfortunately no info on whether
or not it will save in multiple formats..

OK, I have a guy that I want to convert over to Linux but one of the
programs
that he uses a lot is called 'editpad Pro'. The features he likes are
the
multiple file tabs across the top, the syntax highlighting and the
ability to
save files in Linux, DOS, MAC and other formats.

Is there anything in Linuxland that does everything that editpad pro
does?
I've looked at GEdit which has the tabs but not the highlighting, Kate
that
does the highlighting but not the tabs (Although it does have a sidebar
that
has the same function but not the look), CoolEdit is cool but it uses
several
captive windows inside a main, rather than tabs, Kwrite makes new
windows for
each file instead of tabs, Kedit is too basic, Gvim is WAY cool for VI
affectionados like myself, xedit bites...

There's gotta be something out there...

Thanks.

Cheers!

Bob
