Tar and Novell DLT Tapes

Do you want to Read the novel tapes? Or just reuse old tapes and write 
to them in linux with tar? If so, the tapes will be fine to write to. 
Tar will just overwrite whats on the tape. If you want to read existing 
novell tapes thats another issue. What type of DLT tapes? If your using 
tar, make sure the block size is correct or the backup will run alot 
slower.
