more on gnome

it would appear that gnome when using nautilus to draw the background, defaults to white fonts for the icons when using a picture for the background. when using the images/tiles that come with nautilus, the font colors for the desktop icons change accordingly. so, i am assuming that there must be a way to change the icon font colors, just been at it all day and still can't find the way. looked on gnome's web site, man pages, etc. no response from mandrakeexpert.com either. this must be some very gray area or not too many people work with gnome.....
