From all I have read, Yes it is just for mac's.. but hey if I could pick
up a MAC cheap, it would make a GREAT linux install on a RISC based
processor.. that is why you hear so many good things about it. Not that I
care for mac's either, but hey, Linux on a RISC structure has got to ROCK!!!

Well thats why I'm working on the trying to get my DEC (RISC processor)
Alpha 233Mhz up and running.
A 166Mhz from what I've read benches around a pentium 75 to 90Mhz ? With
RedHat 7.1 for Alpha, but
I've been too busy to work on it. I am going to reread some of my info I
saved/put together from
off the web and try to wake the beast. Mind you it really only benches out
to a pentium 120 to 150Mhz ?
But I don't care I'm not interested in speed in this case. I just want to
learn how to use a RISC/SCSI
server.

MAC OSX is proof also that open source unix type platforms is the way of
the future,

I agree, but MAC charges so much for their equipment I find it prohibitive
to allocate funds for it!
Thats most likely the main reason I really don't care for MAC's much, but If
I had to buy a MAC
I would really only buy their top of the line laptop.

people are tired of Bill telling them what they can/can't do.

Well Bill Gates is a prime example of modern corporate america.
Cold callus money hungry cigar smoking fat cats living in only the here and
now.
In other words scumbags!
