Mozilla times out to quickly

First off, Mozilla just released 0.9.5, so you can download that and see
if that fixes your problem.

A few questions though:

What do you mean by 0.9.4+? Are you using the nightly builds instead of
the official release builds?

Just because you can ping a site, doesn't mean that the web server is
alive. You can always test that with nmap though, or try telneting to
port 80 on the ip address.

I'm using Mandrake 8.0 with KDE/Mozilla 0.9.4 and haven't found any
apparent problems. Did you do the Net Install, full install, or compile
the source?

Inside some of us is a thin person struggling to get out, but
they can usually be sedated with a few pieces of chocolate cake.
