Niagara Glen Access Threatened

The Ontario Access Coalition needs the help of all concerned climbers in trying to prevent the Niagara Parks Commission from eliminating bouldering access in the Niagara Glen. Please refer to the link at the bottom of this message for details on how to contact the Parks Commission and to voice your support for preserving climbing access in the Niagara Glen. Not that it needs to be said but please be cordial and respectful in any comments that are made to the Niagara Parks Commission.

I was just in the Tetons with Scott the last week of July, from the 25th to August 1st, for a little alpine climbing adventure. I've uploaded ALL the pictures from the trip for you viewing pleasure, check them out in my Tetons Gallery.
El Potrero Chico

Potrero Chico is a multi-pitch sport climbing area outside of Hildago, Mexico and for a week in early February Big Oil, Buckley, John W. and I are going there! Hopefully Mark and Jeff will also be able to go but they won't know until kind of last minute. Big Oil and I were originally planning on heading to Ouray, CO for a little ice climbing at the park but when Mark mentioned Potrero Chico I became just a little intrigued. After a few days of research I had pretty much decided we should scrap Ouray and head down to Mexico for a few cervezas and a little sport climbing.

Fri, 2009-01-02 13:32 — darinIce climbing season is off to a pretty good start so far, it's only the beginning of January and I've already been on three trips! Once I pull the pictures off my camera I'll get them up here so the whole world to check them out. The next trip is in a few weeks and it's Mountainfest so it should be a good one.

I sent a pair of climbing shoes out to Rock and Resole before I left for San Francisco and they arrived today, which is perfect since I'm going to the gym tonight. They only need to replace half the sole on each and the job looks pretty good, I'm sure I'll be flashing V0 in not time!
